Title 24 Energy Compliance Calculations
The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings were established in 1978 in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California's energy consumption. New Energy standards were updated and adopted by the Energy Commission in 2001 as mandated by Assembly Bill 970 to reduce California's electricity demand. The standards went into effect on June 1, 2001. The standards are updated periodically to allow consideration and possible incorporation of new energy efficiency technologies and methods. Along with additional energy standards came the requirement of field verification and diagnostic testing by a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) provider. 2008 Standards have been adopted and will be in effect August 1, 2009. Alan McIntosh is a CEPE (Certified Energy Plans Examiner) for the California Residential Energy Standards, Certificate Number RO05-07-5354. My Company is pleased to provide both the Title 24 Compliance Documentation and the HERS Testing and Verification requirements of Title 24. |
